Patrick De Haan, the head of petroleum analysis at GasBuddy, remarked that the national average price of gas had fallen for 14 weeks in a row, surpassing the previous record low set in 2018.

While gas prices are still rising in some states, the majority are still falling, according to De Haan. "However, the declining trend might be reversed this week. We have the highest chance of seeing the weekly trend of declining prices reversed, in my opinion, because some problems are starting to arise in the Plains and Great Lakes states as the switch to winter gasoline begins.

This week, the national average gas price fell by 3.9 cents per gallon, reaching $3.64. Although it is less expensive than a month ago, it is still over 45 cents more expensive than it was a year ago.
